Pass Plus
Pass Plus is a 6 hour course of instruction focusing in greater depth on the safety aspects of driving, to be taken after the Practical Driving Test has been passed.
Taking further instruction in responsible and safe driving is highly recommended, as statistics show that newly-passed drivers are far more likely to have an accident in the first two years of driving.
It comprises 6 one hour training modules (there is no test), upon completion of which you receive a Certificate. The Certificate entitles you to receive discounts on the cost of car insurance from many insurance companies, on the basis that anyone responsible enough to have 6 further hours of safety training, including motorways, is seen as a better insurance risk, hence lower premiums.
The 6 modules are:
- Town Driving
- Rural Roads
- All Weather Driving
- Night-time Driving
- Dual Carriageways
- Motorways
Remember, Pass Plus may pay for itself, in lower car insurance premiums, year on year
